When launched at Winbledon in 1952, the Fred Perry polo shirt was an immediate success. Originally developed as a technical sports shirt for Stockport born tennis player Frederick John Perry, the polo was later picked up by the mods in the 50's, and became the shirt of choice for a wide range of lads throughout the 60's and 70's. The brand has become a British classic, and a must in anyone wardrobe.
