The Archive Research Project sees Umbro team up once again with revered designer Aitor Throup, re-imagining seven iconic Umbro archive pieces, focussing on ergonomics and anatomy to add new dimensions to these classic designs. A revolution in terms of branding, Umbro's hugely popular 1970s Track Jacket featured running diamond tape down each sleeve, a pattern that was seen throughout the footballing world, even extending to the kits worn by Scotland and the 1978 World Cup. This updated version focusses on performance, the running diamond tape is no longer purely decorative, instead it is comprised of a composite of the inner and outer 'power mesh' materials, both chosen for their individual performance properties.
