For their Spring/Summer 2012 collection Heritage Research have drawn inspiration mainly from the 1960's - '70's, and in particular Vietnam war era counter-culture.

The NVA shirt is a classic military overshirt, based on those worn by the North Vietnamese Army. The patchwork fabric takes inspiration from the often outlandish clothing US soldiers would buy from local Vietnamese tailors while on leave, and is woven in Okayama, Japan on a vintage loom.
