Rough Rinse

1967 saw Levi's introduce the first pre-shrunk jean to the market. The slimmer legged 505 was still made of the same premium denim but was produced with the everyday denim-wearer in mind.

The 'Rough Rinse' finish is based on a pair from the Levi's archive, given a few early washes, leaving the fabric invitingly softened and crumpled while the colour is still dark. This subtle finish captures the moment of transition when a pair of jeans first becomes totally wearable and loved.
