Nigel Cabourn Peak Lapel Vest

For his SS12 Authentic collection, Nigel has taken particular inspiration from the clothing worn by the Desert Rats - British troops stationed in North Africa during WWII, under the command of General Montgomery. Many familiar pieces from previous Authentic collections make a welcome return, updated with new detailing, fabrics and colour combinations inspired by the Desert Rats.

The Peak Lapel Vest is something of a Nigel Cabourn staple. Appearing in a number of previous collections, this simple, classic design is based on the great English waistcoat, and combines classic detailing such as the watch pocket with distinctive peaked lapels. In line with this season's theme, Nigel has produced the vest in a lightweight linen, making it ideal for the warmer weather.
