Visvim Summer 2012 Back Packs

Visvim originally forged their name as manufacturers of cutting-edge footwear that combined traditional techniques with modern processes in a way nobody had ever seen before. Today their range goes far beyond the likes of iconic FBT and Christo, incorporating clothing, accessories and of course back packs.

As is the case with their footwear, Hiroki looks both forward and back in the design of Visvim’s now legendary rucksack series, citing the packs used in early Arctic exploration and those designed during the 60-70s hey day of American outdoorwear as a catalyst for his latest designs, combining them with innovative modern fabrics and treatments to create new levels of functionality and aesthetics.

The latest offerings from Visvim’s Back Pack series are distinctly summery, with painted floral patterns and corduroy and canvas in light, KONBU treated hues throughout. As ever, no stone is left unturned during the design process, and as such, the detailing is unsurpassed, with Kudu suede detailing, ergonomically shaped straps and back panels alongside numerous variations of access points, media routing and pocket placement. This combination of robust, time-honoured construction methods with forward-thinking design ethos means each pack will last years, resisting the rigours of every day usage.

As ever, numbers are extremely limited, head over to the VISVIM section now, for a closer look.
