Uniform Experiment is the highly revered, experimental menswear line, created by Sophnet in collaboration with Fragment Design’s Hiroshi Fujiwara – the designer known as the godfather of Harajuku culture. Each collection is centered around a single original theme, often drawing influence from past collections whilst incorporating new influences. The central theme for each collection is often an abstract thought – in the case of SS12 the concept is ‘Blue & Black’ – and every piece echoes this in some way, with a specific focus on the creative use of graphics, materials and colour used.
The SS12 collection, our first here at End, takes the Blue & Black concept and works it into a number of essential, every day pieces, subtly re-imagining them in modern, functional fabrics with expertly considered detailing. Encompassing outerwear, shirting, jersey and accessories, this exceptional range showcases SOPHNET.’s innovative take on streetwear as well as the iconic Fujiwara eye for detail.
We have compiled a small ‘look book’ in recognition of the range, but we’d advise heading over to the Uniform Experiment section for a proper look.
