Post Overalls

Monday, May 20th, 2013

Brand new in at End are the latest releases from Post Overalls, who continue to produce designs inspired by the American Machine Age, with Japanese design sophistication and construction quality.

Embracing a whole host of traditional American design, the SS13 collection presses on with the heavy-duty Engineers Jacket. Constructed from a rigid cotton twill, the jacket features a selection of utilitarian pockets, finished with Post O’Alls signature contrast stitching.

Inspired by a vast collection of vintage pieces from the early 20th century, designer Takeshi Ohfuchi creates clothing authentic in both design and construction and where his brand excels particularly is in originally detailed work shirts and overshirts.

The SS13 collection so far has had strong offerings from both of these camps and the latest drop is no different. The Cruzer 5-W jacket, Engineers Shirt and Post-R Shirt are constructed with a level of care and attention that many brands would seek to imitate, all featuring an impressive selection of functional detailing from utilitarian pockets to tab secured collars.

Topping off these new releases are a selection of classically styled work shorts and a selection of that oft-neglected accessory, the pocket square, finished with further reference to vintage US style in a selection of American Calico floral prints.

Post O’Alls Spring/Summer ’12

Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012

Founded in 1993 in New York by Japanese designer Takeshi Ohfuchi, Post Overalls designs still adhere to their original ethos of producing authentic, beautifully produced clothing.

Their SS12 collection is inspired by the ‘Machine Age’ of American Industrial Design, and as ever Ohfuchi’s designs are charismatic reproductions of workwear, military and outdoor clothing of the era, painstakingly replicating the construction, materials and silhouettes of these historic garments.

The collection, like previous seasons, remains packed full of technical detail utilising materials more suitable to the summer months such as a lightweight Pima Cotton Poplin and premium Southern Chambray. As you’d expect, outerwear make up the bulk of this collection with the ever-popular Engineers Jacket and Royal Traveller Vest seeing an updated and worthy return. The Cruzer Jacket has been reworked to become the Cruzer 5W, available in a range of hues, authentically demonstrating the practicality of these workwear-inspired pieces, with five front pockets and a double vented back.
