Nike – July 2012 Pre-Orders

Due for delivery in July, Nike have unleashed some of their most prestigious styles from their illustrious back catalogue. Ranging from classic runners and vintage basketball profiles to more revered styles reworked to demonstrating the label’s unrelenting developments for technical and sporting excellence.

As usual, the July ’12 drop has its most popular styles as the backbone of the range with Nike plunging into their endless palette colourways and hues to revitalise the classic Air Max series. The same can be said about the ever-popular Blazer, again available in both Mid and Low, the majority of which are featuring the PRM treatment, adding a touch of luxury to the shoe. Vintage runners add another dimension to this drop, with VNTG styles from the much heralded V-Series – the Vortex and Vengeance – carrying on from April’s Blue Ribbon Sportswear Pack. Also dusted off from the archives are two bold basketball styles with a rich history, the Air Force 180 and the lauded Air More Uptempo as worn by Scottie Pippen at the 1996 Atalanta Olympic Games.

Rounding off the drop is the highly anticipated Air Safari. Having garnered somewhat of a cult following, this is the biggest re-release of the Safari since 2003 with the celebrated classic is reworked in both Vintage and Lunar Fuse+ styles. Both styles still have the legendary Tinker Hatfield’s original 1987 design at its core, with the particularly striking Fuse+ iterations melding Nike’s Hyperfuse breathable uppers with a stable-ride Lunarlon sole with Phylon cushioning, featuring Nike+ technology for added functionality.
