Levi’s Vintage Clothing is part of the Levi’s premium ‘XX’ division, focussing on re-creating vintage pieces of American workwear and sportswear, with an unwavering dedication to detail and quality. Each LVC collection documents and celebrates the history of Levi’s clothing, using authentic fits, detailing and fabrics to capture a classic and often nostalgic aesthetic.
The core of every Levi’s Vintage clothing collection is of course the denim. Each pair of LVC jeans is a painstaking re-creation of a particular Levi’s fit from a specific time period, finished with meticulous distressing and washing, which accurately mimics the natural effects of wear. This season we’ve stocked two of the most popular variations of the iconic Levi’s 501 – the 1954 and the ’47 jean – each in two varying states of distress. Also on offer are the slim 505 fit, the skinny 605, as well as chinos and cords, meaning there’s truly something for everyone this season.
Recent seasons have seen LVC expand and develop their collection far beyond jeans as they seek to provide a comprehensive offering of clothing based on iconic pieces from their vast archive of restored and reclaimed garments. The Spring/Summer ’12 collection includes some amazing athletic sports tees, sweatshirts and hoodies, as well as some 1960’s-inspired striped tees that hark back to the heyday of Californian surf culture. The workwear side of the collection is composed of several styles of work shirts in a number of authentic fabrics, these sit alongside pieces such as the 1920’s Sunset Coat, a typically LVC take on the classic chore jacket.
