The SS13 collection from Gitman Vintage displays the variety on offer in the brands archive, with prints originating from renowned artists, inspired by exotic cultures and showcasing the quality of design which has made Gitman what it is today.

Each shirt pays reverence to Gitman’s history of design and construction excellence, and every shirt features the same exceptional detailing, button down three inch collars, box pleats with locker hoops and contrasting bottom button holes all reproduced on shirts with contemporary silhouettes.

One of the most distinctive pieces from the SS13 collection is the René Margitte Sky Print Shirt. Inspired by the celebrated Belgian surreal artist, it features an all over cloud print borrowed from a number of his most famous works. The range also features an artistic twist classic on the classic short sleeved seersucker shirt, incorporating an irregular striped design, in tribute to the American Minimalist painter Frank Stella.

As ever, bold repeating patterns are well represented many of Gitman Vintage’s latest offerings for SS13 are inspired by Japanese and native Pacific culture. The Kabuki Print Short Sleeved Shirt celebrates traditional Japanese theatre and the Kimono Camo shirt gives a new twist to camouflage with traditional Japanese iconography in exceptional style.
