Oliver Spencer Autumn Collection

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

After years of working as a designer and self-taught tailor Oliver Spencer launched his own brand in 2002. He wanted his collection to mirror his own wardrobe, a cross between modern-casual and traditional tailoring. The DNA of each collection is always high quality fabrics, old-school construction and exquisite craftsmanship. Oli puts passion into every garment, striving for quality, sourcing the best fabrics, and ensuring it is all up to his high standards.

Oli draws inspiration from hunting and the military. He adapts bits of Americana and ideas from Japan into aesthetic, which remains obviously English. This is a point that Oli is proud of, with more than half of the range being produced here in the UK.

This season’s collection is one of Oli’s strongest yet, with some of the best knits, shirting and jacketing we have seen from any brand. Shirting has always been a strong area for Oliver, and this season is no different, with a great offer of oxfords, stripes and checks. The jackets also benefit from Oli’s strong tailoring background, with each one styled and cut to perfection. The Travel Jacket is a particular highlight from this season’s range. The knits finish of this autumn collection perfectly, with a range crew neck knits and beanie hats.
