Norse Projects A/W ’11

Friday, October 14th, 2011

Our latest shipment from the guys at Norse Projects includes the new ‘Nunk’ jacket, a classically styled short parka which comes in three great colours, including a real standout they’ve called ‘Burnt Orange’. The usual Norse attention to detail is evident in the grey wool lining, drawstring waist with leather toggles, and front flap pockets with side-entry to keep your hands toasty.

That’s not all on the jacket front though, as we’ve also taken stock of two further outerwear styles from Norse Projects, both of which are new for this season. The ‘Skilliam’ jacket, available in three Autumnal colours, is a typically ‘Norse’ take on the classic English hunting jacket, crafted in waxed cotton sourced from one of the best in the business, British Millerain. Another British Millerain fabric, this time a heavy-duty cotton canvas, is used to great effect on the ‘Lindisfarne’ jacket, a thigh-length mountain parka with a thick fleece lining.

This season also sees the return of the ever-popular Norse collaboration with Swedish glove makers Hestra. The sheepskin-lined leather ‘Staale’ gloves are a perfect example of Hestra’s expertise in alpine ski gloves, fused with Norse’s classic aesthetic. These are sure to deal with any weather you can throw at them, keeping your hands warm and comfortable for many winters to come.

To top it all off we’ve had another delivery of Norse knitwear, including fairisle patterned scarves and jumpers. Head over to the Norse Projects section now to check out all the latest products from the boys in Copenhagen.

With the current snowfall here in Newcastle this collection of wool, flannel and cord was just what we were after, ideally suited to the colder weather. There are some top quality lambswool hats and crewnecks in a selection of marled colours, as well as the return of the Villads and Eske shirts in over-dyed denim and baby wale corduroy, not to mention the Erik Cord Pant and re-stocks in Norse’s hugely popular denim series.

If the reaction of the lads here at End is anything to go by, we reckon these are going to fly out. But don’t just take our word for it, head over to the Norse Projects section for yourself to see what all the fuss is about, we’re sure you won’t be disappointed – there’s not too much of new Norse Projects about so we’d be quick about it we reckon!

Norse Projects Autumn Collection

Friday, August 20th, 2010

We have just received our first shipment from Mikkel and the guys over at Norse Projects. As always, the collection has a very clean, Scandinavian feel, with the usual Nordic influences and references. Classic styles such as the oxford shirts, stripe tees and borderlines have made a comeback, while the waxed parka and knitted cardigan are welcome additions. The graphic tees for the season have a definite Nordic feel, and the beanies are made for the harsh Danish winters.

The guys have also teamed up with British bag maker Ally Capellino, who has produced a fantastic rucksack for the collection. The bag comes in both Navy and Black, and is finished in British waxed cotton and bridal leather.

New Balance for Norse Projects

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

Copenhagen’s Norse Project’s first opened it’s doors in 2004, and has since become a leading purveyor of the finest in street, skate and fashion wear, causing some major waves that have reached far beyond their native Denmark. Their full debut collection, for Fall/Winter collection has been instore at our new End Hunting Co. for some weeks now and has been very well received, so when we heard news of a colab with Flimby’s finest, we had to get ourselves involved…

Never afraid of a good menage-a-deux, New Balance are always keen to work with new, exciting partners and the New Balance x Norse Projects shoe is no exception. As with all good collaborations this takes the best elements of the original and builds on them, mindful of the design heritage, while looking to add new dimensions.

There are few better starting points than New Balance’s 670 -  the shoe released to celebrate 100 years of production at Flimby – the clean lines and use of patented NB technology established it as an instant classic for good reason. Norse keep the palette subtle, with nods towards the classic Navy and Greys mixed with vibrant Aqua and Teal to give a more contemporary edge, and a typically Norse nautical feel.

Release is set for the 23rd of October and we are looking forward to getting our hands on  this highly limited and brilliantly considered shoe. Created to Improve Life – Good for All Seasons is the Norse Motto, and this 670 is one that is not going to be usurped by trends.
