Nom de Guerre Autumn ’09

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

Each Nom De Guerre season is always greatly anticipated, each collection seems to move on from the last, the sharp t-shirt graphics, stunning knits and strong, simple shirting continues to get better and better each season. Autumn ’09 continues in this vein, and the military influence that underpins everything that Nom produce is instantly apparent. This season draws influence from the Russian Revolution, the heavy knits, large jackets and thick shirts necessary to help brave the harsh Russian weather are prominent.

Working under the title of ‘The Third Generation’ AW09 has a number of truly outstanding pieces. The Deconstructed shirt that has been a key piece in many previous seasons is finished shirt in a narrow cord with a plaid pattern, giving a great effect. This season’s tees feature deconstructed images of flags with political slogans written around them, and in keeping with the Russian Revolutionary theme there are heavy knit shawl cardigans and ‘standard issue’ hats. These knits would probably withstand a Baltic winter, but with the brilliant Nom de Guerre design they are just as at home here.

As the amount of coverage on Nom de Guerre continues to grow so does the brand’s popularity and the demand for these highly limited pieces. We have received our first delivery which contains many of the seasons key styles including the Great Coat and Deconstructed shirts. Head to the Nom de Guerre section to view the range…
