For a while Fracap were one of those ‘best kept secrets’, the reserve of a select few who knew about the tiny Italian brand’s expertly produced mountain boots. Their Scarponcini – which simply means hiking boot – is timelessly styled and finished to an incredibly high level, which means your Fracaps will last for years.

Recently, a lot more people have cottoned on to Fracap, and we have seen their popularity soar, as such we have brought in some new variations on this brilliant boot, all of which replicate authentic mountaineering design. The Roccia Lug sole version uses a classic Vibram outdoor style that combines grip with flexibility to great effect, and the Ripple Sole Scarponcini utilises Fracap’s own pioneering ‘Shark Tooth’ natural gum sole, a design that has been common place with mountaineers since the 19th Century.

As with all previous Fracap deliveries numbers are very limited, so we suggest getting in early to get your hands – or indeed feet – on what we consider to be pretty much the best Winter boot around.

The Fracap Scarponcini Boot is the quintessential hiking design. Each pair of boots is hand crafted in Italy by footwear artisans, so proud of their work that each pair is hand signed on the insole by the craftsman who has finished them. Until recently the brand was solely for the Japanese market, but over the last few months has been available from a select few retailers in the UK. We now have some amazing new colourways in the Scarponcini boot, ranging from classic Antique Brown Leather all the way to Navy and Brown Suede versions for the summer.
