Adidas Classic Runners Re-Issued

Tuesday, April 12th, 2011

Our latest delivery from Adidas’ comprises a couple of iconic runners from our youth in the form of the ZX380 OG and the re-released Equipment Support Running. These archive favourites were some of the most revered styles of the 80s, combining the technology and iconic styling of the time to perfection.

The ZX380 was first released in 1986, only a year before the EQT, yet the styling is far more retro, similar to the ZX300 and ZX500 in shape, with the iconic mesh and suede uppers that set the ZX series apart. The ZX380 OG is one of the most anticipated releases of the year so far, and for very good reason, not only does this remind us of our school days, but it’s also as good as we remembered, a great example of Adidas running shoe design at it’s finest.

The Equipment Support Running made a welcome re-appearance in it’s original colourway earlier this year, and this updated version perfectly showcases this late 80s favourite. The Torsion system still provides exceptional comfort and the angular modern lines look as fresh now as they did in the year ‘La Bamba’ topped the charts.

Monday, March 7th, 2011

After months of planning and preparation, last Thursday evening finally saw the arrival of the Adidas ObyO x Kazuki launch night. As 6pm approached the crowds gathered outside the store, eagerly anticipating the start of the event. As the doors opened and the music started, the store quickly filled with Adidas fans clambering to get a look at the new collection, and bag themselves a pair of ZX Ian Browns. By the time we hit the ‘Town Wall’ for the after party, the event was in full swing, and continued late into the night. Thanks to Adidas for working with us on the event, and thanks for everyone who came down and made it a great night.

Adidas Originals by Originals by Kazuki

Monday, February 28th, 2011

Friday 4th March sees the long awaited launch of the Adidas Originals by Originals by Kazuki Spring / Summer 2011 Collection. Over the last few years it has developed into one of the most highly anticipated and sought after Adidas collections, with many styles selling out instantly, and fading away into Adidas history and legend. This spring’s collection is set to be no different, especially given that it will be the FINAL Originals collection Kazuki designs for Adidas.

For this final collection Kazuki has truly pulled out all the stops, producing what we consider to be his finest collection yet. Kazuki once again draws inspiration from his native Tokyo, with obvious Japanese streetwear elements to the collection. He has also collaborated with friends Jam Home Made, Azuma, and of course Ian Brown.

Kazuki and Ian Brown have been friends for over 10 years, and ever since the conception of the Originals by Originals range, there has been speculation over whether Kazuki would produce a shoe with his good friend. Ian Brown has always championed Kazuki’s collection, appearing in the look books and promotional videos, and now the collaboration has finally happened.

The ZX Ian Brown is a classic premium ZXZ, produced in the finest leather, of course in Ian’s favourite colour, black. Japanese jewellery designers Jam Home Made have gone to work on the Stan Smith, updating the eyelets, uppers and back heel tab, to produce a shoe with a distinctly Japanese style. The KZK Plants is a slimline plimsole designed by floral artist Azuma, which brings a totally new dimension to the range. The Copepan seamlessly fuses the Campus and T-toe with stunning results. The Darwen is a mid-cut ZX-Boat style hybrid, roumered to be named after the town Darwen in Lancashire, home town of Kazuki’s friend Gary Aspen. The final footwear style is the ZX Mocc, which draws inspiration from the 1960′s creeper shoes, current en-vogue in Japan.

The apparel collection is classic Kazuki – A seamless mix of Japanese street wear and technical outdoor wear. There are obvious references to baseball throughout the collection, which is both Kazuki and Japan’s favourite sport.

The collection will launch at our exclusive launch event on Thursday 3rd March at End Hunting Co. in Newcastle upon Tyne, and online at 00:00 GMT on Friday 4th March. We have very limited numbers of each style, and demand is set to be huge for Kazuki’s final collection, so please  try and join us on the night, or keep an eye on the website to ensure you bag yourself a little bit of Adidas history.

Head to our Facebook page to join in the build up for the party and collection launch, and don’t forget to ‘Like’ us to keep update date with all the latest competitions, offers and launches from End…

Adidas Spring ’11 Pre-Orders

Wednesday, December 1st, 2010

Apart from a few limited edition releases, the trainer buffs amongst us will have noticed that releases have slowed down of late, but cometh the new year, all that is set to change, and our friends at Adidas are leading the charge. January sees the release – or should we say re-release -of some of Adidas’ most revered styles, and there are none more hotly anticipated than the EQT Support Runner. Released to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Equipment range, this classic runner was pioneering at its time and is still one of the most popular silhouettes in Adidas’ archives.

Adidas x Star Wars Final Footwear Drop

Thursday, October 7th, 2010

After months of blog hype and sneak previews, the final part of the Adidas x Star Wars series has arrived, and we can safely say, it was worth the wait. Three of the film series’ most iconic characters are recognised in a series of shoes that are truly befitting.  The trainers chosen all come from the Adidas archive, and like the Star Wars heroes – and villains – they portray, they are not necessarily the most famous, but these are styles that have not been re-released for a while, which for us, this is a good thing. The Metro Attitude, one of Adidas most innovative basketball shoes, the revolutionary ZX800 and the Jogging Hi – which until AW10 had never been re-released – are the ideal choices for Jabba the Hut, Boba Fett and Chewbacca.

The innovative designs exceed anything else that has come in the range, the materials and finishes used are well thought out and executed brilliantly, so we’d imagine, with less than 100 pairs in stock these won’t be around for long….

Adidas Originals by Originals AW 2010 – Collection Preview

Monday, August 9th, 2010

This Friday 13th August sees the launch of one of the most anticipated ranges of the year – Adidas Originals by Originals x Kakuzi Autumn 2010. Long-term ObyO partner Kazuki Kuraishi continues to lead Tokyo’s latest trends in streetwear fashion, combining them with technical elements in a wearable manner that makes the line stand out from the crowd.

This season Kazuki has also teamed up with Tokyo-based brands Neigborhood and WHIZ Ltd, along with Japanese DJ and artist Mintos, who have brought their own ideas to the collection. Seasonal highlights within apparel include Kazuki’s Light Jacket, a fully seam-taped 3-dimensional silhouette construction using a waterproof 2L Diaplex fabric as well as waterproof zippers. The collection also included fully Neighborhood branded premium hoodys, tees and tech chino pants, all set to become future collectors items.

The footwear range distinguishes itself with new models in Fall/Winter 2010 such as the ZX KZK, with a hybrid moccasin upper silhouette, and a special winterized version based on the Adidas Forum incorporating the graphic element from the shell jacket. The Campus 80s remains a favorite sneaker model, in a fresh design coming in two colourways this season, together with the Campus 80s featuring WHIZ Ltd. The LUKER by Neighborhood Superstar is however the star of the collection. Finished with either a black or white upper, and with full LUKER by Neighborhood and Adidas dual branding, this is a style set to sell out and fall into the realms of Adidas folk law.

This season Kazuki has also worked on a full Kids collection to sit alongside the menswear range, with matching tees and trainers.

The range is set to launch online on Friday 13th August at 00:00 BST. We have some key looks and preview images below, and will be releasing further product images and range information over the next week running up to the launch.
