A Guide to A.P.C. Denim

Thursday, April 26th, 2012

Recently, we received a restock from A.P.C., comprising of a number of their most popular denim cuts. Jean Touitou’s Paris-based label, Atelier de Production et de Création – for those of you who love the longhand – have been the standard barer in the denim world for pretty much the last decade. Their cuts meld together refined yet approachable silhouettes with ease, all of which adhere to the classic five-pocket design while the choices in colour and material are kept simple with the traditional raw indigo denim, which develops an interesting blue patina, the go-to-jean for many.

Universally applauded and beautifully constructed, we have a varied selection of silhouettes in a variety of materials. If you are deciding which style is for you, keep your eyes peeled above. If you want to look at our selection from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection, please visit the A.P.C. section of our website…

A.P.C Spring Summer 2012 Collection

Monday, January 2nd, 2012

The first drop from Parisian label A.P.C.s Spring Summer 2012 collection has arrived with us at End. A.P.C. (which stands for Atelier Production Creation for those of you who have an appetite for unravelling acronyms), continually deliver collections which stick to brands ethos of creating classic styles with simple, sophisticated detail.

The Spring Summer 2012 collection features flashes of military influence in it’s styling. No other piece exemplifies this more than the Military Parka. Utilising a washed twill cotton with a muted camouflage print, this straight cut jacket is an update of the Lined Parka from AW11 as well as using a similar silhouette to the Vintage Parka, which features more refined details such as a conceal zip fastening and cotton lace drawstring hood with suede leather finished ends. There is also a military feel with A.P.C.’s accessories, especially the aptly named Military Bag, available in both Navy and Brown.

If ‘military inspired’ is not your thing, then this is still a great collection. Touitou’s tailoring is especially strong, shown to great effect when teaming up the Anthracite Blazer with its matching Formal Trouser, or the Navy Blazer and Petit Standard Corduroy Pants for a more casual look. The collection also includes the usual array of classic A.P.C. tees, sweats and casual shirting. Our favourites include the Tristes Tropiques Tee in Grey Marl, the Semiology Sweat and the Button Down Check Shirt available in Beige or Marine.

The collection is finished off with two great footwear styles, the Tennis Derby and Lace Boot, which complement every piece of the collection as well as working well with an array of denims and cotton pants.

A.P.C. Autumn/Winter ’11

Wednesday, July 20th, 2011

Jean Touitou’s Atelier de Production et de Creation have become a by-word for quality, understated clothing and AW11 sees them adding to their reputation with another collection of brilliantly reworked classics. Ranging from outerwear to tees, the first part of their highly impressive Autumn/Winter range perfectly shows the diversity of their designs, whilst still being unmistakably A.P.C.

Old favourite’s such as the K-Way collaboration series return, updated for the new season, but still retaining the kind of attention to detail that made them so popular first time round. There is also a brilliant selection of knitwear, drawing influence from North Sea fisherman and Military issue clothing to great effect.

Add to all this, a full restock of A.P.C. denim in a variety of cuts and colours as well as some typically tongue-in-cheek graphic tees, and you’ve got the makings of yet another brilliant season from the Workshop of Production and Creation. Head over to the A.P.C. section now to check out the first AW11 drop in its entirety…

Tuesday, January 25th, 2011

A.P.C. – or Atelier de Production et Creation – for the curious-minded amongst you, are one of the most revered names in contemporary fashion. The Parisian label have spent years establishing themselves as leaders in their field with their unique take on classic design and he latest A.P.C arrivals here at End show exactly why these Frenchmen – and women – are so popular.

It may only be January but contained within this SS11 delivery is something for all your Spring/Summer needs, from jackets to shirts, knitwear to shorts, you could have your entire Summer wardrobe sorted before the clocks go forward! The usual influences are there, military jackets and shirting are prevalent, as are the bold checks of the Madras range – which continues to go from strength to strength. There’s also the usual nods to American Ivy League styling, particularly in their tees, and no A.P.C. season would be complete without some expertly crafted striped knits, and as per usual, they have not disappointed.

We’d recommend wandering over to the A.P.C. Section to have a look for yourself, but you might want to get there sooner rather than later as a number of bits have already started flying out!
