For sneakerheads the Jordan XI Space Jam needs no introduction, a holy grail for collectors, the original shoe, as worn in the 1996 Looney Tunes film was limited to 5 pairs, and the only re-release, back in 2001 was snapped up instantly.
The Jordan XI itself is still one of the most enduring Jordan styles, featuring Huarache liner, patent and canvas uppers and a carbon fibre spring plate on the sole the XI is a great blend of cutting edge shoe technology and brilliant aesthetics. The Space Jam edition simply added to this, the Black and Blue – originally purple – colourway showcases the great lines of the shoe. The 2009 re-issue comes in a collector’s box, complete with black sleeve and embossed 23 detail, which even includes metallic shoe inserts.

Numbers are extremely limited and the recent US release caused pandemonium in stores so we don’t expect the Jordan XI Space Jams to be around for long. These will be online shortly after the New Year, so keep your eyes peeled, and be quick to avoid disappointment.
