Taking inspiration from three of the five major global marathons; Berlin, Chicago & New York – all of which take place in the autumn – adidas have applied their classic colourways to a newly unearthed archival gem.
The story goes that the prototype for the adidas City Marathon PT was uncovered in the attic of a former adidas technical director when the 90-year-old was packing up to move. Having been lost for almost a third of a century, the vintage runner has been given a sympathetic 1:1 reworking in a trio of signature adidas colorways: navy (Berlin), white/black (Chicago) and navy/grey (New York).
Utilising the classic suede and mesh construction with the instantly recognisable Dellinger Web technology, delivering shock absorption and spring-like cushioning, the shoes are finished with 42.195 printed to the heel panel – the amount of kilometers in a modern day marathon.
The Adidas City Marathon PT Pack launches Friday 6th September at 00:01am BST. For more information, please feel free to email us at email@example.com.
