Porter Luggage by Yoshida & Co.

Friday, November 27th, 2009

Yoshida & Co. have been making bags and accessories since 1935, and in 1962, they added the Porter line to their catalogue. The range was aimed at the booming travel market and took its name from the fact that the bags would pass through the hands of many Porters in its lifetime. Today, Porter is one of the most recognised names in the world of premium luggage manufacture, famous across the world, and the only name to take on your travels you in their native Japan.

We are very pleased to welcome Porter by Yoshida & Co. to End and the range definitely does not disappoint. Ranging from every day essentials such as their iconic fold wallet, multi-facetted day shoulder bags and Russian cases, through to much larger travel holdalls and boston bags, this Porter range boasts all the features and finishing that we would expect. Their take on the humble ruck sack is a case in point, aside from perfectly made pack, Porter have added a detachable case to the lid, which can be used for day trips when traveling. It is this sort of attention to detail that sets this brand apart from the rest and has lead to Porter being one of the most desired brands in their field, with season launches often being met by over-night queues.

This highly limited range is available on-line and in the End Hunting Co. store now, and we advise having a proper look in-store or in the Porter section of our website.

Nike Match Classic by Hiroshi Fujiwara

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

Often referred to as the ‘Godfather’ of Harajuku culture, over the last 10 years Hiroshi Fujiwara has had a seminal impact on global streetwear.  Through his Fragment and Undercover design agencies this DJ-turned-designer has worked on products for some of the world biggest brands, as well as producing his own highly acclaimed collections.

Hiroshi is no stranger to working with Nike, and after several sell-out collaborations they have asked him back to work his magic on the Match Classic. In a market which is currently overrun with visible air shoes, the Match Classic is step back in time to clean 80’s design. Hiroshi has taken a simplistic approach, and kept things clean with a full suede upper and minimal branding. The shoe has been given the ‘Nike Vintage’ treatment, with worn uppers and discolored midsoles, which gives them a real vintage 80′s feel.

The Match Classic is available in Black, Cinder Brown and Varsity Red now…

Mismo – Luxury Danish Luggage

Saturday, November 21st, 2009

Its no secret that the Danish generally do it better. They have been producing some of the best designed furniture, clothing and architecture since records began. And now, it looks like they have conquered luggage too, with Mismo. As soon as we saw this amazing luggage collection the quality jumped out, and we had to bring it back to Blighty.

mismonews1

Firmly based in the Danish design tradition and appreciation for the values of classic craftsmanship, Mismo unites natural materials with simple yet refined details to create products of true style. Leather and heavy canvas constitutes the backbone of Mismo design, and only the best materials of premium quality are used. In Mismo bags, functionality and detail are meticulously harmonised with versatility and durability to strike exactly the right balance.

We have three styles from the Mismo Canvas collection now available online and at the Hunting Co. store. The largest bag in the collection is the Weekend Bag. The Weekend is the perfect size for all your essentials for a weekend trip, with one large zipped main compartment for easy packing. The bag usues the best quality leather and canvas, as with all Mismo bags.

The Tote bag is a medium size multi-purpose bag, perfect for social and professional use. The bag has several compartments, with a large padded section for a laptop.

The third style is the Shopper, the smallest of the range, but still perfect for everyday use. The shopper has a single zipped compartment, and a clean, classic sillouette. Each of the styles is available in Army Green, Mustard, Navy Blue and Midnight Blue, each with a contrasting brown leather trim.

A reaction to the prominent trend of mass producing clothing and footwear for the lowest possible cost Heritage Research manufacture all of their garments in England, using only the finest fabrics.

Each design represents a heritage garment adapted to a modern silhouette and the materials use are sourced from the UK, Japan and the US, from luminaries such as Melton, British Millerain and Pendleton Woolen Mills. Puma x Ubiq Philadelphia

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

Sneaker lovers and sport enthusiasts have so much in common. Both have an innate streak of crazy. Both know that sometimes they have to patiently wait for the things they want most – limited editions, championship titles, etc. But most importantly, both understand that the colors they paint on their faces and the kicks they put on their feet define who they are…

For these reasons, PUMA teamed up with Philadelphia sneaker collector boutique UBIQ. Located in center city, UBIQ sits at the heart of a sport-crazed culture – where brotherly love is more like sibling rivalry and fans have souls made of steel.

This collection takes the sport trend up a few levels – 700, to be precise. From 1971-2003, Philadelphia’s Veteran Stadium was the sacred stomping ground for its professional football and baseball teams. It was forever filled with cheesesteak-stained napkins, replica jerseys, and public displays of inebriation. The stadium’s notorious upper deck, the 700 level, had a rep more badass than any player – so badass that the stadium added on a small courtroom to handle the constant fights between Philly fans and their rivals.

The PUMA UBIQ 700 Level Collection honors the stadium’s zest for sport with rambunctious material play, Philly team colors, and the original stadium map on its sockliners. The PUMA Clyde’s and PUMA Mid’s uppers feature a match-up of leather and jersey mesh, with “The Nest of Death” laces, “700” metal lace keepers, and the stadium years stamped on opposing heals. The low profile Referee features a black, jersey mash upper with gold and green leather accents. Its laces read “The World Over” with a PHILA metal lace keeper. The collection is topped off with knit beanies.

The pack is due to launch soon at End. To register your interest or for more information, please call us on +44(0)191 261 9327 or email us at info@endclothing.co.uk

Patta x Nike – Air Max 1 Premium QS

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

Dutch based streetwear store Patta (Surinamese slang for shoes) have been building a formidable reputation over recent years. The team over at Patta have been working to put together a fine selection of international streetwear brands all under one roof in the Netherlands. The results of this work are a great store, industry acclaim, and also a few brand collaborations….

patta2

…The latest of which is with our good friends at Nike. Much like ourselves, the guys at Patta our BIG Air Max 1 fans, and have chosen this iconic shoe to rework.  Released in 1987 at Air Max 1 is still the top choice of many, not only in the Dutch streets, but worldwide to this very day.  Patta have decided that it’s only appropriate to give creator Tinker Hatfield and his original Nike Air Max 1 it’s just due by paying homage.

They have taken the decision to subtly re-work the shoe, rather than complely change this classic. The original recognisable colorblocking has been applied to remain true to it’s strong heritage and the main focus has been directed at the choice of durable materials: green denim, canvas and nubuck ensure a more street-friendly version to carry on footwear tradition in a proud fashion.

Unfortunately, The Patta Air Max 1 is now completely sold out. Check out our Nike Section for other limited edition trainers.
